I, Ayca Akan, studied achitecture at the İzmir University of Economics with a successful scholarship and graduated as a high honours student in fall/2013. My education and my working experience went hand in hand together during my tenure as a University student.

 

Aside from my multi perspective education, I have been working in different fields before and during my university studies, helped me experience and understand different parts of life.

I chose to focus my education processes on the effects of environmental factors on the building design process and the working principles of new digital design components.

 

I believe architecture is more than a simple 'practice of designing and constructing buildings' but also can be called an 'art' or 'practice of designing and constructing places, through the integration of both site and building.'
